It’s a guard-gated community along Hayden Road north of Shea that originally was built around a golf course developed in the early ‘50s, before Scottsdale ran that far north. It was called Sundown Ranch, a small guest ranch and some houses. It was later annexed into Scottsdale and courses were added and redesigned. It has several neighborhoods with names like Sovanna, On the Green, and East Nine.
Single family homes run between 1,600 and nearly 5,000 square feet, with some smaller homes on smaller lots. The different communities have some of their own amenities, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, clubhouse and fitness center, and gathering place patios.
The Starfire Golf club offers McDowell Mountain views with the King, Hawk, and Squire courses.
Condos also are available with their own amenities like pool/spa, tennis and exercise equipment.
Scottsdale Country Club is close to the Loop 101 and the Scottsdale Airpark, and slightly north of Gainey Ranch, with easy access to Downtown Scottsdale’s entertainment, arts, dining, shopping, and tourism features. It’s also close to Spring Training parks, Talking Stick Resort and Golf and other amenities.
