The High Sonoran Desert region is Scottsdale northernmost area in the city, a higher elevation than most of the city and the most remote and sparse.
It includes the master-planned communities of Whisper Rock, The Boulders, Desert Mountain, Legend Trail, Mirabel, Sincuidados and Terravita – full of golf courses, high end custom and near custom home. The fabulous vistas of the spectacular Sonoran Desert are more evident here, and the communities are closer to the small downtowns of Carefree and Cave Creek than to Old Town Scottsdale.
It has more open space, some active horse ranches, and fewer people than most of the northeast Valley. Folks who want to live in the wide open spaces and don’t mind a scenic drive to all the luxury shopping, tourism attractions, and entertainment that Scottsdale has to offer would find a great home there.
